Dan Jewell started the firm in 1956, and practiced in all areas of the law until his death in 2013. He was President of the Nebraska State Bar Association in 1977 and 1978, and received many awards during his lifetime, including membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers. We’re proud to have practiced with him for over 41 years.
Dennis Collins is a general practice lawyer, with an emphasis on estate and business succession planning. This includes simple and complex estate planning, for all manner of assets. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel, and has written over 60 articles for law reviews and various seminars, including an annual presentation on case and legislative updates to lawyers and CPA’s at the University of Nebraska Law School’s “John M. Gradwohl Estate and Business Planning Program” for over 35 years.
Donna Funk has been a paralegal with the firm for over 30 years, specializing in real estate, estates, trusts, and business organizations. If you have a problem in these areas, Donna Funk is the friendly link between the clients and attorneys. She maintains and organizes the files, conducts research, drafts documents, and makes sure every client gets the best service. Donna has degrees from both the Lincoln School of Commerce and Bellevue University.
For over 40 years, Cinda Sanders has been the first face you see when coming to Jewell & Collins. She performs many duties at the office, including paralegal functions, helping to draft documents in all areas, as well as providing all levels of support for the firm. She remains a valuable mainstay for all of us, and is a fabulous resource to make sure our clients get “over-the-top” help.
